There's a lot of free time over break, a perfect opportunity to check out some great shows on Amazon Prime and Netflix. Yeah there are shows such as "The Walking Dead", "Orange Is the New Black" and "Breaking Bad", here are 10 more shows just as worthy of a look see.

1. "Bob's Burger's"

I never really got into watching "Family Guy", "The Simpson's", or "American Dad" (sorry to any fans that are reading this), but I just can't seem to get enough of Bob's Burgers. It's one of the funniest shows I have ever seen and Tina, Gene, and Louise are probably my favorite sitcom siblings ever. There are 5 seasons currently on Netflix.

2. "Colony"

If you enjoyed Sawyer from "Lost' then you are in luck because the actor who played him, Josh Holloway, is the lead actor in "Colony." "Colony" takes place in Los Angeles, sometime after a massive wall was built around the entire city and someone other than the United States government is now in charge. Who built the wall and why? Well you'll just to have to watch to find out.

3. "The Man In the High Castle"

For history buffs like me, you'll love show, and even if you aren't a history buff chances are you will still love this show. Set in the 1960s in an alternate timeline where Japan and Germany won World War II, "The Man In the High Castle" is an intriguing and disturbing look at how history may have ended up. Season 1 and 2 are on Amazon Prime.

4. "The West Wing"

Most of you have probably never heard of this show. But I am going to guess that a majority of you have seen the "Newsroom' clip about how America is not the greatest country in the world anymore. Well the man responsible for writing that clip was a writer on the "West Wing" for multiple seasons. So, if you have an interest in politics and incredible screen writing check out all of the seasons for "The West Wing" on Netflix. During the shows seven year run from 1999-2006 it won 26 Emmy's and 3 Golden globe awards.

5. "Humans

In an alternate reality, lifelike robots have been created and are the hottest commodity. This show branches into subjects such as artificial intelligence, slavery, technology, and what it means to be human. Season 1 can be found on Amazon Prime.

6. "The Office"

If you haven't seen this show yet, and you like to laugh, then you should watch it starting now. It is one of the best shows of all time and Steve Carrell was born to play Michael Scott. If you have ever had a boss that you could not stand or a crazy coworker who you loved to mess with, then you will relate to this show.

7. "Shameless"

This is a show about a dysfunctional family with an alcoholic father and an absent mother trying to make end's meet in Chicago. I cannot say enough great things about this show, it's part comedy, part drama, part romance, you cannot help but get hooked into the lives of the Gallagher family.

8. "The 100"

I don't know about you but I have this thing about dystopian/post-apocalyptic TV shows, and "The 100" is one of my favorites. This show takes place long after a nuclear holocaust devastated the human population. 100 teenagers are sent back to Earth's surface to see if it is still habitable, chaos, war, death, love, and betrayal soon follow. The first 3 seasons are on Netflix.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
