For all the college students that are home, Netflix is a great thing that can occupy your time. It sure beats sitting at home all day with nothing to do. Netflix has multiple genres for films and shows, so there's no excuse for not watching. There's at least one thing on Netflix that will catch your attention. So, this article is a little push to help get you started.

1. "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt"

Who doesn't love a good comedy? This crazy, hilarious series was written by none other than Tina Fey. Fey is a prominent comedienne who went from acting on "Saturday Night Live" to starring in her own show, "30 Rock." The Kimmy series surrounds a young woman that was trapped in a cult for 15 years of her life until freed. With her new-found freedom, she strikes out to make a new life in New York City.

2. "Orange is the New Black" (OITNB)

This series is a longer one with three seasons to watch and a fourth one on the way, but it's worth it. OITNB showcases a diverse cast and the different types of people that can be found in a prison. Now, the gratuitous sex can be overwhelming, but those parts can just get skipped. The plot line develops intensely as the show progresses and the comedy within the show is highly unique.

3. "Master of None"

Who doesn't love Aziz Ansari? He's a hilarious comedian who starred on "Parks and Recreation." This is a great starter show for college students. It doesn't have a huge time commitment. The show only has ten episodes, so someone can watch it in a week. I highly recommend it. It has top ratings from the Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic, and IMDb.

4. "Breaking Bad"

The series is officially over, so why not watch it? It's a great show for those who love crime shows. I mean, it's not everyday that a show gets made about a teacher that turns into a drug creator/ dealer because they are dying. And the teacher teams up with a former student to help him begin his life of crime.

5. "Grey's Anatomy"

Yes, this one makes the cut. Shonda Rhimes has done an excellent job of making an enticing show that stretches over 10 seasons. The show is great for those that are looking for a show to fill the void left by the ending of "House M.D." The story line is solid and hasn't gotten boring in all of its seasons. The show has a lot of deaths but it is set in a hospital, so what did you expect?

6. "Friends"

Why not? The series has ended. People make so many references to the show. This is a good one to watch because it's a classic. And you will be judged if you have not seen an episode of "Friends." People are seriously offended by that. For the sake of not having people roll their eyes at you, I suggest watching an episode or two.

7. "Nurse Jackie"

This is a good show. The protagonist is like a female Dr. House. She's a crazy nurse that has an addiction to painkillers. You'll watch her battle her way through the ups and downs of working at a hospital. It's a longer series to binge watch because it has seven seasons. It has a decent rating on the Rotten Tomatoes and IMDb.

8. "House M.D"

The medical drama that captured so many hearts is a must-watch. The story of the eccentric doctor that's addicted to painkillers unfolds throughout eight seasons. He works with a team of other doctors and consults his best friend, Wilson, on occasion. You'll watch House tackle crazy patients and try to maintain a love life. It has high ratings on review sites and is a good investment of one's time.

9. "Baby Daddy"

This is a moderate series to binge-watch. It only has five seasons. The show surrounds a bartender that discovers that his ex-girlfriend got pregnant. She leaves the baby on his doorstep for him to raise. The bartender's friend and brother agree to help him raise the baby girl along with his mother. It's a funny series and seems like a good way to spend your time.

10. "Parks and Recreation"

This is a longer series to watch. It has seven seasons. The show surrounds Leslie Knope, an unorthodox bureaucrat in a small town. Leslie is determined to beautify her town of Pawnee. She works under her boss, Ron Swanson, an eccentric man. Leslie works with other co-workers that are just as crazy as her boss. It has high ratings and ended on a high note. Viewers shouldn't be disappointed by this series.

11. "American Horror Story"

Not going to lie, the recent seasons of "Hotel" and "Circus" were not that good. However, the other seasons aren't too shabby. I suggest watching the seasons of the series before it gained a lot of hype. "Coven" was an excellent season, if you ask me. This show is great for people that don't like getting attached to one plot line since each season is nothing like the last. At times, the show can get highly sexual, but you can fast forward through those parts.

12. "Gossip Girl"

This show helps explain how Blake Lively got her big break in Hollywood. The series surrounds a group of rich kids and one poor kid that are haunted by an all-knowing Internet blogger. The unknown blogger releases the kids' personal information throughout the show. Basically, this is the show that set the foundation for the more recent series of "Pretty Little Liars."

13. "Mad Men"

This is another classic series that captured the hearts of so many viewers. The show was so good that it got brought back to television because viewers were not ready to move on. The series is set in the 1960s and surrounds Don Draper, a top ad man that resides in New York City. Draper's story plays out over seven seasons and tops off with a total of ninety two episodes.

14. "Sense 8"

This is a Netflix original. Eight strangers that reside around the globe find themselves connected -- first by a violent vision, then by the unique ability to connect with one another's thoughts and actions. Plus, they're connected by the urgent need to find out what has happened and why it has happened. Their need to dig deeper surpasses curiosity. As they pursue answers, an unknown organization hunts them down, intent on destroying the group.

15. "Bates Motel"

This series is the explanation of how the killer in the movie "Psycho" came to be. Norma Bates buys a motel after the death of her husband so that she and her son, Norman, can start anew. The motel resides in the coastal town of White Pine Bay, a town with secrets that stretch farther than its name. This series is a great thriller and a top pick for those that like horror movies.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
