Although I only found out who my Big is this month, it's been impossible not to be incredibly thankful for her and everything she does for me. Somehow, I managed to condense all the things I love about my Big into this small list. I will always be thankful to have my wonderful Big in my life, because she truly is the best gift my sorority could have ever given me.
1. She Never Judges You
If you've done something you regret and you need someone to talk to, she's never going to judge you. She's always going to be the first person you call because you know she was also once that stupid freshman.
2. She Gives Great Advice
No matter the subject, somehow your Big always seems to know the answer. She gives the best advice in any situation, whether it be what to wear out or how to flirt with an adorable boy across the room. Somehow, she always knows what to do.
3. She Lets You Drag Her Everywhere With You
If you're feeling alone or need someone to join you on an adventure, she'll always be there. Whether it's a party, an optional meeting, fraternity serenades or church, she's the first one to get you out of feeling like an awkward loner.
4. She's Your Best Friend on Snapchat
You send her Snapchats while you watch The Bachelor (when you should be studying), to your roommate making weird noises across the room, all the way to hideous faces that you trust only her not to screen shot. When her name pops up on your Snapchat, you can't help but smile.
5. Her Friends Are Automatically Yours
Whether you knew them before or not, all of her friends somehow automatically know you and love you as soon as you find out she's your Big. She makes sure you feel included when you're with her friends, and at the end of the night, you always have a few more friends than you started with.
6. When You Think You Have No Plans For The Weekend, She Comes To The Rescue
Nobody likes staying home and going to bed early on the weekend. We all want to hang out with friends and have plans for the weekend, but sometimes, plans are hard to come by. Your Big always seems to text you on the nights when you can't find anything to do. With that one text from her, all of a sudden, your weekend gets better. Not only because now you have plans, though, but it's also because the plans are with her.
7. She Makes The Cutest Crafts For You
Somehow, without knowing you for very long, your Big manages to make the most adorable and amazing crafts for you. She puts so much time and effort into the crafts, and somehow, she knows your style and your favorite colors without even asking. It seems like only fate could have brought such a pair together.
8. She's Your Role Model
Not only is your Big one of your best friends, but she's also the person you strive to be. She has (what seems like) millions of campus jobs and tons of organizations she's involved in, and somehow, she still manages to do well in school AND make time for you. She clearly knows how to do college, and she's the best role model around.
