Tailgate szn-- the best time of the year. I don't care what school you go to, there is something unique about being able to tailgate with your best friends for your favorite school. Running around grass fields covered from top to bottom with families and fans rocking blue and white and Penn State flags as far as the eye can see truly screams home.

Here are eight reasons why tailgate szn is just your thing:

1. You can start drinking at 8 a.m. promptly.

No matter if the game is early or late-- game day means drinking at 8 a.m. on the dot.

2. GAME DAY MUSIC.

From your school's alma matter to whatever pumps you and your crew up-- you can find a healthy dose of "Zombie Nation" blasting from our walls as early as the sun rises.

3. Finding the perfect t-shirt dress with your school colors.

The outfits are a second best to the drinking.

4. The weather.

It's usually always nice during tailgate szn, like God telling us he loves us.

5. Finally seeing your beautiful stadium again.

It's been awhile since you've seen your football stadium-- but seeing it on game day brings all the feels.

6. The tailgating food.

Whether it's from parents: hand crafted on the grill or it's hot dogs from a frat basement-- it's game day baby!

7. Seeing all the alumni come back.

Alumni flood in for game weekend-- and it's nice to have them all under the same roof again.

8. The sense of happiness in the air.

Everyone is happier on game day and your small little town probably senses it. From the downtown streets to the smiling people walking to the stadium-- it's a wonderful feeling.

Whichever school you're rooting for: It's game day baby.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
