Even though summer is coming to an end and school is coming back in session, that doesn't mean there isn't room for you to plan an amazing trip with friends and family. Here are the top places in the United States to visit:

1. Times Square

Times Square is the heart of New York City. You could visit Radio City Music Hall and see the Rockettes, have a relaxing walk through Central Park or go ice skating in Bryant park during the winter. Of course, if you are in Times Square or any place in New York City, there's always somewhere to shop, shop, shop!

2. Las Vegas

When you think of Las Vegas you most likely think of gambling and casinos immediately. However, Las Vegas has a lot more to offer than just that. You can go on desert tours, enrich your mind in various museums, ride on huge roller coasters and more. Also, one of the coolest things that you can do here is to go zip lining. The attraction is called Slotzilla Ziplines and is shaped just like a slot machine! It is n a 120-foot high platform that consists of two different levels to launch off of.

3. Niagara Falls

This destination is gorgeous, especially in the summertime. With attractions that help bring you closer to the falls, such as Cave of the Winds and Maid of the Mist, you can get a unique experience at looking at this natural wonder. Plus, there are often free festivals and concerts going on!

4. Hawaii

In my opinion, Hawaii is one of the paradise islands. There are so many things that you can do while in Hawaii! You can explore the volcanoes, hike one of the best Hawaii routes on the Na Pali coast, enjoy the beaches, etc. Whether it's going on an epic adventure or winding down under the sun, this place offers it all. This is definitely one of the best places to book a vacation for.

5. San Francisco

The number one adventure to go on in this city is to go across the Golden Gate Bridge. This can be done on foot, by car or bike! Other great things that this place has to offer are cable car rides, historic and movie landmarks (i.e. houses from Full House and Mrs. Doubtfire), taking a tour of Alcatraz Island or Pier 39 where you could see sea lions (and also dine while looking at the incredible views of the bay). You certainly won't be bored here!

6. New Orleans

When I think of New Orleans, I immediately think of music and food. New Orleans has such a rich history and is especially known for their Mardi Gras celebration. There are endless things to discover here.

7. Washington D.C.

Not only is it the home to the White House, D.C. has such a rich background in history. There are so many historic buildings, parks, museums, monuments, etc. You just can't go wrong travelling to the capital of the country.

8. Disney World

This destination is definitely at the top of my bucket list. Even though I have never been there, I know that it's a great place to go, especially with family and friends. It is super important to be sure to make reservations for the different restaurants at Disney and have those fast passes. A little over 19 million people go to Disney every year so be prepared!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
