Let's be honest, we have all watched a Harry Potter movie and wondered what it would be like to be a wizard. Unfortunately, we live in a muggle world where the only thing magical is how many times Kylie Jenner changes her hair and how Donald Trump became president. Here is a list of spells I think would be used the most if ordinary people of today's society could use or abuse spells:
1. Riddikulus
This spell allows you to laugh at your biggest fear. Laughter is the best medicine, so whenever you are going through something extremely difficult, use this spell and laugh in the face of fear.
2. Episky
Episkey heals minor injuries. This spell would be useful for your typical drunk college girl trying to walk back to her dorm in heels. Using this spell would probably take a lot of business away from doctors, but let's be honest, if magic was real, who would want to be a doctor?
3. Reparo
With this spell you could fix anything broken with a flick of the wrist. Reparo is extremely useful for that one person everyone knows with a cracked iPhone screen.
4. Aguamenti
Aguamenti allows you to shoot water out of your wand. For when you are trapped in the Sahara desert or simply just thirsty, this spell will come in handy.
5. Tergeo
If you're too lazy to use your Swiffer Wet Jet, this spell is for you. Tergeo cleans up your messes when your parents randomly decide to visit you for the weekend, and you have Starbucks cups and ramen packets on your desk.
6. Alohomora
Alohomora opens locked objects. This spell is the most useful for when you forget your dorm keys or lock yourself out of your car. Using it will stop you from becoming Inspector Gadget trying to open a door with a bobby pin and screw driver.
7. Lumos/Nox
Lumous allows you to create light and Nox allows you to turn off the light. So if you are ever extremely comfortable in bed but the light switch is a mile and a half away, these spells will solve your problem.
8. Accio
If you ever sit at the dinner table and then realize you forgot your fork, Accio is the spell for you. It allows you to summon any object. Now you can bring the gym to you! OK...maybe not (but you can bring Doritos).
