The 90s could easily be described as the golden age of television. With classic shows such as "Seinfeld," "Friends," and "Boy Meets World," you can not escape the phenomenon that was these sitcoms. Despite me only existing for the last 39 days of this decade, I was not immune to the love that all people seem to share for these shows. As I have started college, moved away from home, and made new friends, I have noticed certain parallels between my life and these small screen wonders, particularly "That '70s Show," which ironically has been playing in my dorm room on Netflix almost non-stop these past three weeks.
1. Realizing that the classes you registered for will not be as easy as you had hoped
Sophomore math at 8:30 am? Chemistry almost every day? Yeah, no thank you.
2. Staying up until the wee hours to finish assignments you put off to the last minute
We have all had those 2 a.m. dining hall runs after finishing a 50 topic ALEKS objective.
3. When your online homework won't let you continue until you get a question right
If I had a dollar for every time ALEKS told me I had an incorrect number of significant digits, I wouldn't need any student loans.
4. Waking up for class
Seriously, who thought that it was a good idea to start class anytime before 10 a.m.?
5. Realizing that you are probably behind
Nothing is more terrifying than doing homework all day and STILL seeing that you have five more assignments to do on Blackboard.
6. When your roommates are being loud during nap time
In a room with seven girls, there is never a dull moment.
7. Studying with your friends always turns into Netflix
"What do you mean you've never watched 'How I Met Your Mother?' That changes now."
8. When the dining hall is crowded as hell
There is nothing I wouldn't do for ice cream.
9. When class ends early
Early ending class = nap time for everyon
10. Hanging out with your roommates
Cue the dance parties.
