One of the most iconic spring break destinations is actually the least desirable. THE BEACH. The beach during spring break is simply the worst. The water is too cold to enjoy, the wind on the beach throws sand everywhere, and it inspired a truly abysmal movie in 2012 that almost sunk the careers of both Selena Gomez and James Franco. Spring Break at the beach is a nightmare.

Spring break at the beach promises golden rays of sunshine, warm laughter with friends, and the promise of young love.
