For the past few years, I have actively been struggling with depression. Similar to ear-worm, depression boroughs into the main stream of thoughts. It establishes its dominance as it whispers destructive thoughts and questions until it is forced to succumb to the your own inner strength or your demise. While it can never completely be eradicated, I have a few tips to help you get through even the worst of days:

1. Talk to people who make you feel loved

People struggle asking for help or confiding in someone but this is one of the best things you can do is to talk to someone.

2. Interact in life and not just on social media

Interaction boost you spirit and it makes you lest standoffish around people. All in all it brings a little comedy and joy to your life.

3. Support each other

Research is showing that you get a "high off" off of supporting others so listen to a friend or volunteer.

4. Exercise

While it is know for boosting your health it is also good for your mood. It helps with coping 10-fold.

5. Hugs.

Hugs are know for slowing your heart rate and releases endorphins which makes you happier.

6. Sleep

Sleep is important for basic function but getting eight hours of sleep and having a normal sleep pattern can help the tired aspect of being depressed.

7. Never Give Up

While it hurts, we know that giving up will end your fighting but it can hurt everyone else. Never giving up will ensure that you get a chance to live your craziest dreams.

Depression can overwhelm you, but you have the power to make sure it doesn't hinder you from living. Stay strong and you will see the rainbow at the end.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
