Television was the ultimate escape from my childhood. The characters, the situations, and the lessons all appealed to me and my young mind. However, some of the material objects in these shows made a better lasting impression than those that actually mattered.
When watching a tv show as a child, it is easy to be filled with excitement when seeing something the characters have that you want. Often times, these things don't actually exist and are made specifically for the show. These seven are a few of the many things from kid's television that you wish you had growing up.
1. Zoey 101 - Jet X
These things are so cool. Yeah, I understand that I could get a scooter and have a very similar experience, but the Jet X comes in so many cool colors! Plus, Zoey's commercial for the Jet X was too iconic to ignore. I could really use one of these.
2. Drake & Josh - Clackers
This GIF says it all. The clackers are the simplest form of fun to ever grace children's' television. It was the fad of all fads. Forget fidget spinners, clackers are where it's at.
3. iCarly - Pear Pad & Groovy Smoothie
Can we just live in Carly's world? The pear products gave Apple a run for their money. I mean, who wouldn't want a tablet in the shape of fruit?? Speaking of fruit, those smoothies looked delicious and Groovy Smoothie had the approval of the greatest boy band in the world (see picture).
4. Hannah Montana - Hannah's Closet
8-year-old me was #shook when I saw Hannah's closet for the first time. Not only is it only accessible through a secret door, but it had all the trendiest clothes of the late 2000s. Not gonna lie, I checked my closet for a secret, cooler closet after this episode aired...
5. That's So Raven - Raven's Room (Post Makeover)
A hanging canopy bed. That is all. Can I get Hannah's closet to go with it?
6. Suite Life of Zack & Cody - London's Mirror
Leave it to London to have a magic mirror. Her own personal stylist and complimenter all in one.
7. Big Time Rush - Slide
Honestly, the boys of Big Time Rush had the best set up. I mean, who doesn't want a slide in their apartment? All the fun games and bright colors mean there was never a dull time in that building.
