1. Being with my childhood friends.
There is no bond like the one you have with the friends you grew up with. From elementary school play-dates, carpooling to cheerleading practice, and shopping with your moms to graduating high school together, going out together, and eating like pigs together, I am always missing my friends from home.
2. My best friend, aka my dog.
Sometimes all I need is a little puppy comfort. I miss coming home from class to a cute little fluff ball waiting at the door for me ready to be attacked with hugs and kisses.
3. Home-cooked meals.
I’m getting real sick of the dining hall food. Salmon, sweet potatoes, grilled chicken, burgers on the grill, fresh fruit, and homemade cookies sound perfect right about now.
4. Sibling time.
As much as I love all of my sorority sisters, I miss my little brother. I wish I could be there to see him go to his first homecoming dance, help him practice driving, play X-box with him, and go watch his baseball games.
5. My comfy bed.
Dorm mattresses just do not cut it. I miss my fluffy blankets, plushy pillows, and my mattress that doesn’t make my back feel like it’s broken every morning when I wake up.
6. Chipotle.
Self-explanatory.
7. Parents.
As nice as it is to have unlimited freedom and your own space, it’s hard not to miss your parents. At the end of the day, you wouldn’t be anywhere without them and they are the ones that care about you the most.
