It's that time of the semester when we're all incredibly run-down from the sheer amount of tests, homework, and social commitments that have been weighing on our shoulders. And as fun as being at college can be, all we really need right now is some time at home. There are so many things about being home that I took for granted before going off to college, and now that I'm away from home I appreciate them more than ever. Here are the ten best things about being home from college:
1. Seeing your pets
As the weeks go by at college, I get more and more eager to see my cats. I get a little bit clingy towards them when I'm home, but I'm sure they appreciate it when I have to leave again.
2. Seeing your family and friends
Spending time with friends and family is almost as important as spending time with my cats. I'm always super busy over break since I have to make time to see everyone, but it's worth it.
3. Sleeping in your own bed

4. Driving around your hometown

5. Using your own shower
It is very freeing to be able to shower without flip flops on. I also forgot what water pressure felt like until I showered at home again.
6. Home cooked meals
They combine two of my favorite things: food and home!
7. And enjoying your favorite restaurants

8. Relaxing
9. Gaining appreciation for your home

10. But still always being reminded of how much you love your school
No matter how badly I wish I could stay home, there is always a part of me missing my friends, my beautiful campus, and even my incredibly busy schedule.
