1. Make Your Bed
I know it sounds silly, but straightening up your bed before starting your day can start you off on the right foot. Not only will you feel productive for tidying up, but you’ll come back to a nicely made bed at the end of day. After a long day, there’s nothing better than a welcoming bed!
2. Compliment someone!
Giving out a tiny compliment to a stranger or friend at least once during your day can put you into a positive mood instantly. Plus, you might even make someone’s day in the progress!
3. Meditate
Taking 10-15 minutes out of your daily schedule to meditate can elevate your mood greatly! Meditation might seem overrated, but doing controlled breathing exercises or projecting good thoughts onto your day can be a game changer! Don’t knock it till you try it.
4. Make a To-Do List
Making a short to-do list of things you know you can accomplish in a day can be a great motivator to help you stay on track for your daily goals. Crossing off completed tasks throughout the day will give you well deserved validation and motivation to keep reaching those daily victories.
5. Go for a Walk
Not only is walking good for your physical health, it’s good for your mental health, too! Walking can clear the mind, help with writer’s block and decrease stress. Take a 20 minute walk and reap the benefits!
6. Have Lunch with a Friend
Make plans to eat with a friend. Being around a friendly face for even just 30 minutes can help get you through a particularly long day!
7. Get a Good Night’s Sleep
Getting plenty of sleep at night is never a bad idea. Try to get at least 7 hours every night and watch your days change for the better!
