Some nights I bet your friends are begging you to go out and you think to yourself, "Why do I have to? I probably won't have that much fun." While going out with the right people in the right place can be fun, staying in can be just as good! For those nights you don't want to go out and sit in a crowded bar, here are some good reasons why staying in can be better!

1. No drama

Some nights when you go out with your friends, drinks can get the best of you and it can cause a little drama with people you probably don't talk to on a daily basis anyway. So, staying in can erase all that negativity and drama you normally wouldn't have to deal with.

2. Fun night with close friends

Nothing's better than having a fun night with your besties! Regardless if there's drinking involved or not, some nights you just need to be surrounded by your best friends. It's like they can almost fix any problem with just their presence. So ditch all the crowded bars with loud music and have some fun with your friends!

3. It's safer

Yes, just because you're keeping yourself safe when you go out with your friends, it doesn't mean others are. The best way to ensure your safety is to stay in! It probably sounds lame, but accidents can happen. There's nothing like knowing you and all your friends are safe at the end of the night.

4. Have some "me" time

If you don't want to hang out with anyone, staying in is your best bet. Who doesn't like to catch up on some "me" time? I know I do. So those nights when everyone is going out, stay in. Read a book, do some crafts and drink some wine. There's nothing like a little "me" time.

5. Catch up on your shows

I know for a fact that it can be hard to sit down and actually watch television during its scheduled programming. You could be two to three weeks behind on your favorite show! So, there's nothing like staying in, curling up on the couch and watching your shows for hours.

6. Don't have to get dressed up

There's nothing more tedious than spending time getting dressed to go out. If you're staying in, you can just sit back and relax without the worry of dressing up. Staying in doesn't require makeup, restricting clothing or hairspray.

7. Save money

There's nothing better than saving money and the best way to do that is to stay in! Sure after you order pizza, grab a case of beer or a couple daiquiris, there's some money spent. But, it's a whole lot better than getting your bar tab back at the end of the night and wincing.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
