"Mama you taught me to do the right things, so now you have to let your baby fly." –Carrie Underwood, "Mama's Song"
Moms are the best gift one can receive. A good relationship with your mom is a wonderful thing to have. I love my mom with all my heart and without her, I don't know where I'd be today. She supports me through everything and never leaves me when we need her most. Not sure how I got so lucky to have the world's best mom, but I sure am grateful to be able to call her not only my mom, but also my best friend. Here is why moms are the best friends a daughter could have.
1. Well for starters, she's been there since birth... there's no more special bond than that.
Nothing like forming a bond by pushing someone out of your uterus, right? She fed me and clothed me and made sure I was the cutest baby on the block.
2. My mom has been there for me through the tears and the heartbreaks.
.
She's gotten me through my many downfalls and picked me up every time.
3. But she's also been there through the best times of my life.
She was there when I graduated preschool, she was there when I graduated high school, she's the one that got me there in the first place.
4. My mom and I have a bond like no other. She's my right hand, my go-to.
I know, I know, how cheesy?
5. She has always been a role model and has shown me that it is okay to be independent, in fact, it’s better that way.
.
My mom is the most independent woman I know and she has shown me how much better it is to make success for yourself, by yourself. It's more rewarding that way.
6. I can talk to my mom about basically everything.
From what I had to drink last night, to what's new on Netflix, it's always a good time talking to her.
7. She's the one person I know will never leave me or tell my secrets.
Friends will come and go, along with your secrets they will probably tell, but not your mom! She has to love you and keep your secrets...it's her job!
Thank you for being there at my highest points and all of my lowest as well, and thank you for never leaving even when everyone else did. You’re my role model and I hope to be half the woman you are some day.
