"When Harry Met Sally" brought up the most interesting of all unanswered questions: can men and women be just friends? "What I'm saying is - and this is not a come-on in any way, shape or form - is that men and women can't be friends because the sex part always gets in the way." Whether our generation sees things differently it is still a question left to be answered accurately.

Coming from a girl who has naturally found herself befriending boys for her entire life it is, in my opinion, a blessing to have men as just friends. Men can teach a woman things women cannot and vice versa. Guys offer a sort of friendship unlike any other a girl will find in her lifetime and when you feel like brother and sister there become no more boundaries. Men may be the enemy to most girls, but finding the right one to befriend and learn from can be the perfect relationship. So here are just some of the reasons why women can, and should, have men in her life that are just friends.

1. Jokes are lighthearted but insults are encouraged

When a man and a women are friends certain things such as insulting one another's habits, choice of clothing, choice in significant other or any aspect of life in general is a fun way of bonding. Each understands the limit of the other and feelings are safer than most relationships between two women.

2. Men offer unique perspectives on certain situations

Men have the ability to seemingly say whatever they are thinking. As most men may know this isn't always the best thing, but for women, we can gain a unique perspective on some of the strangest things in life whether we like it or not.

3. They actually have emotions and will talk about anything you want

Although they may not willingly open up to you at first, just like every friendship it needs time to grow. Once it does you and your man friend can talk about pretty much anything like how much you once annoyed each other.

4. They're adventurous and all around weird

Whether its late night karaoke at the bar or just dancing around your living room, your guy bestie will never make your time together boring.

5. It's possible for a man to see you as nothing more than a friend

Its more than possible to see someone of the opposite sex as just a friend, nothing is impossible. The best kind of friendship is when it feels more like family than anything else.

6. They're a shoulder to cry on too

A friend who is willing to drop everything for you in a time of need is the best kind of friend, female or male. Men can offer a refreshing shoulder to cry on and ensure the entire carton of ice cream won't get eaten. Save that for girls night!

7. They actually make you believe good guys do exist

Getting burned one too many times by a guy can make you loose all faith in the male population, but when you're able to have a friendship with one who shows you they aren't all the same will make you believe in their species once again!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
