7 Reasons Everyone Should Marry 'An Aladdin'
Disney

After a very productive day of laying in bed and watching my extensive Disney movie collection, I have come to realize Aladdin is the best Disney prince. I am getting married in October, and after watching Aladdin, I realized my fiance encompasses all of Aladdin's traits that make him the perfect man to marry.

1. He is selfless.

Sure, Aladdin's a thief. But, he is a thief with a heart of gold. He proves that in his opening scene where he and Abu are clearly starving for food. However, they find the poor children who are also hungry and he so effortlessly gives them the bread he has. Then, he jumps in front of a whip for them! Thankfully, Jasmine let Raja take care of that suitor and gave him what he deserved.

2. He has the best sense of humor.

What other Disney prince gets to sing a song, let alone a song with such hilarious lyrics? "I steal only what I can't afford (that's everything!)", we understand, Aladdin. He is quick with the comebacks too. After the not-so-nice suitor tosses him into the dirt and trots off through the palace doors with his horse, Aladdin tells Abu, "Look Abu, it's not every day you see a horse with two rear ends."

3. He is brave.

He jumps in front of danger for children about to get whipped. He grabs a mans arm who is about to slice off a woman's fingers. He ventures into a dark and terrifying cave in the shape of a tiger's head. Then, he fights the evil Jafar who is now a psychopathic monstrous genie.

4. He is loyal.

He stays loyal to the people he loves. Aladdin makes a promise and sticks to it. At the beginning of the film, he promises Genie that he will set him free as his final wish. But, when Aladdin cannot marry Jasmine due to not being a prince any longer, because of Jafar, Genie tells him to make being a prince his last wish. Instead, Aladdin surprises Genie and grants him his freedom!

5. He holds himself accountable.

After Jasmine hears Aladdin discussing with the Sultan and Jafar about her future, he realizes it was wrong and apologizes to her. He admits that she is right and it is her choice. Even after Aladdin lies to Jasmine about being a prince, he apologizes to her and acknowledges that it was wrong of him to do so.

6. He is adventurous.

He always finds an adventure in whatever he is doing. He shows Jasmine a whole new world outside of the palace walls. He takes her on a magic carpet ride. Who doesn't want that for a first date?

7. He loves Jasmine for exactly who she is.

Aladdin never asks Jasmine to change something about her or dislikes anything about her. He loves her fiery attitude and her ability to get what she deserves. From the moment he met Jasmine, he was madly in love and it did not change when he discovered she was the princess. He only thinks he needs to make himself better for her.

Ladies, make sure you go down the Aladdin check list when trying to find your Prince Charming. It got me mine.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
