With the current candidates running for president essentially acting like fictional characters in a comedy television show, what is stopping others from running? Below are seven fictional characters who would probably make a better president than the options being presented to us voters.

1. Jessie Spano.

Jessica Myrtle Spano is an activist who fights and advocates for the rights of women. An outspoken liberal, Jessie attended Columbia University after high school. She has a history of a caffeine pill addiction, but used her mental strength to overcome it. With her resume looking as it does, Jessie would make a great first female president.

2. Topanga Lawrence.

Topanga has an incredible amount of life experience. Having to deal with the divorce of her parents, she still managed to graduate valedictorian of her high school class. After getting married at the age of 18, she attended NYU Law School, earned her degree, and is now a successful lawyer.

3. Ross Geller

Dr. Ross Geller is a paleontologist who also earned his degree from Columbia. After being married and divorced three times, Ross is capable of taking on anything, including the White House!

4. Elle Woods.

With experience working on Capitol Hill, Elle's resume is very impressive. She attended Harvard Law School, and if elected, one of her top priorities will be to secure the rights of animals (especially her dog, Bruiser!).

5. Ezra Fitz.

This poetic, high school teacher turned business owner has plenty experience dealing with secrets and lies in his hometown of Rosewood. That would make him the perfect candidate for President!

6. Mitchell Pritchett.

Ex-figure skater Mitchell is most known for newly defining the modern family. He would be the first openly gay President, and would use his lawyer skills to work with Congress. If you can handle Gloria and Jay, I think you can handle presidency!

7. Leslie Knope.

This list would not be complete without Leslie Knope, Deputy Director of the Parks Department for the town of Pawnee, Indiana. Knope is passionate about government and politics, and some of her most significant accomplishments include becoming a councilwoman for Pawnee, and writing her own book. Even though she holds an immense amount of respect for Obama, I'm sure there is nothing more she would love than to win the White House this year.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
