College is emotional, new and fun. But, over all it's overwhelming. There are days when I think I'm going to be swallowed by school work and drown in drama. But I am always kept sane by one guy who happens to be the Son of God. And luckily, our savior left us with a book holding all the answers to those everyday trials.
For stress and anxiety:
Matthew 6:27 "And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to this span of life?"
When you're just feeling down:
Deuteronomy 31:8 "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."
For those times when you're feeling lost:
Jeremiah 29:11 " For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you hope and a future."
When someone hurts you:
Matthew 5:44 "But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you."
When you could use a dose of confidence:
Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you He will not fail you or forsake you."
For that green-eyed monster:
Proverbs 14:30 "A tranquil heart gives life to the flesh, but envy makes the bones rot."
And when you're dealing with disappointment and failure:
Philippians 4:6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
We are so lucky that we have access to the Bible. There is a solution to every struggle, no matter how big or small, that you could run into during these four monumental years. The Bible holds all the answers, you just have to learn how to dig. So when life is becoming heavy and you think you can bear no more, flip through the good book and run to him. He surely has the answers.
