I'm sure I'm not the only one that isn't going anywhere special for Spring break this year. Even if it may seem like you're one of the few people not going on a vacation, that's not true at all! In fact, most people aren't going on vacations because, when you're a college student, money gets pretty tight! That's a major reason why I won't be going anywhere this year. You may think that your spring break is going to totally suck this year, however that is not necessarily true! Your break will be what you make of it. Keep busy doing things you enjoy. After all, this is your break from the constant and stressful school work so you want to make the best of it. I have come up with a list of amusing activities to keep you busy.

1. Visit family and/or friends nearby for a day.

Nothing is better than visiting family and friends that you haven't seen in a while. Catching up with them and spending quality time together is always fun.

2. Go on a road trip.

Going on a road trip is always exciting spent with someone you enjoy being with. There are so many places to go, both close to home and further away. From parks to beaches to mountains, the places you could go on a road trip are endless!

3. Attend a festival.

There are usually many different festivals going on during Spring break. Festivals are always jam packed with fun activities such as music, rides, tons of delicious food and crafts. Look up what's going on in or near your town.

4. Color in adult coloring books.

For those of you with a creative side, coloring is always pleasurable. Coloring can be very relaxing and can be done by yourself of with others. If you don't have a coloring book at home, Google a bunch of different websites that you can print coloring pages from for free.

5. Have a movie marathon.

Rainy day with nothing to do? A movie marathon is the perfect thing to keep you occupied! Whether you're alone or with others, movie marathons could be a lot of fun. Make sure you have popcorn!

6. Make extra cash.

Contact your old employer/s in advance before you're home for break. Let them know you will be home and are looking to make some extra spending money to save up for college. If you were a good employee, I'm sure you can work a little over break. Even though it may not be the most fun, it'll keep you busy and give you some money to go back to school with.

7. Lastly, relax!

What better time to rest up than during break? You're free from school for some time and I'm sure school keeps you up late at night to study for tests, write papers and do homework. While you're home, take advantage of it by catching up on some Z's.

Your spring break at home should not be a countdown to get back to school. There are ways to have fun and enjoy yourself! Stay busy during break and you'll find that it'll fly by. You'll be counting the days for summer vacation as soon as you get back to college after Spring Break!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
