Although we are constantly bombarded with the phrases no regrets, live life with no regrets and anything of the sort, there will always be something in your past you wish you could do differently, right? If there was some possible way for you to travel back in time then you would have a list of things you would want to tell yourself. A do's and don'ts sort of thing. Here is a list of things I wish I could go back and tell my past self (or tell anyone else in middle school/high school) to do, not do, do differently, do more of, or do less of. And I bet you that you'll wish you could tell your old self a few of these things too.

1) It's OK

2) Don't worry so much about the future

3) It will work out how it's supposed to

4) You will get where you are supposed to be

5) That boy does not matter

6) That girl is just being petty

7) Cherish your teachers

8) And your friends

9) And your high school

10) Be thankful for your schoolwork load

11) Eat the extra cupcake if you want to

12) You don't have to fit the mold to be beautiful

13) It's OK to stress

14) But don't make yourself sick in the process

15) Be best friends with your mom

16) And your brother

17) Hang out with your grandparents more (disclaimer: they have really cool stories)

18) Cherish your first car (re: Candy the Camry)

19) Popularity is not everything

20) Buy that concert ticket

21) And that cute shirt you want

22) Go on the random trip with your friends

23) Don't lose touch with old friends

24) Wear whatever it is that you want

25) Makeup isn't everything

26) Don't buy something without trying it on first

27)Smile at everyone; you never know who needs it

28) Everyone is going through something of their own

29) You can't "fix" anyone

30) Stay true to who you are

31) It's OK to press snooze (sometimes)

32) Don't be afraid to dance more

33) Don't ever hide how you truly feel

34) Don't smoke the cigarette if you really don't want to

35) Or drink the beer

36) Tell your friends the truth

37) Order pizza at midnight more often

38) Don't worry about people who don't like you

39) They're just jealous

40) Be confident in who you are

41) And who you are becoming

42) Jump in the pool more

43) Voice your opinion

44) Don't let anybody take away that opinion

45) Or your voice

46) Try more foods that you "don't like"

47) Don't wish your life away

48) Your mother is usually right

49) Be dependable

50) And trustworthy

51) and consistent

52) Love like Christ

53) Take good care of your body

54) Make good grades

55) Study for your tests (good practice for college)

56)Exercise more

57) Boys are not a must in your life

58) Be the kind of friend you want to have

59) Your parents will always find out

60) Take advantage of every opportunity

61) Be nice to everyone you meet, even if they are not nice to you

62) But don't be a total pushover

63) Don't ever hide your emotions

64) It's OK to cry

and last but certainly not least,

65) Always, always, and I mean always stay true to who you are and what you know, deep down, is right.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
