If there’s one thing I can’t stand it's having combination skin while I’m out trying to enjoy myself. After years of searching the web, I finally found a skin care regimen that works great for my skin.
1. Never keep your face dry.
By constantly rinsing your face or thinking that not moisturizing will fix the problem, you are unconsciously making it worse. You still need to moisturize but just with a lighter moisturizer that doesn’t contain oil.
2. Wash your face with oil free cleansers.
If your face is oily, putting on extra oil will increase the amount of oil your body produces. It is always good to keep your facial products light and airy.
3. Less Makeup.
Now I know what you’re thinking, and yes this actually helps and it won’t be the end of the world. When you’re adding more makeup, your pores are getting larger and allowing more dirt and other junk to get in. Try a much simpler look that doesn’t require much foundation or concealer.
4. Drink all the water you can.
Drinking more water will help detox the impurities in your body. If your skin is feeling extra oily its probably because you had a binge week and now that that’s over your skin is showing the results. Try having specific times to drink glasses of water so that way your body is getting the right amount that it needs.
5. Masks are your new best friend.
Using oatmeal or clay masks help pull oil from the skin without being extremely over drying. Depending on how oily your skin is, that’s how many times you need to apply the masks per week. After using these masks try eating a healthier diet, drinking more water, and applying the right amount of moisturizer and watch your skin glow!
6. Keep it up!
You must keep this up or your skin will end up right where it started or even worse. Also, washing your face each day and night along with switching out your pillowcase keeps your skin clear and fresh.
