Now an entire thesis can be written about how great black women are in general. In that you can mention Serena Williams' dominance in tennis and Simone Biles Dominic and in gymnastics for four years. You'd also have to bring up Beyoncé who is a living legend whether you like her or not. She doesn't things we've never seen her do, but may have seen others try do do, and makes it amazing. Through all of that, it's hard to tell whether or not she's actually human. She has slipped up a couple of times and put it all out there for us to tell us that she is a human. And here are seven of those times:

1. When she sneezed.

In the middle of one of her sold out Formation World Tour shows in New York City. Beyoncé sneezed and for some reason people went wild. A simple sneeze reassured that she has normal elimination of air because of irritation in the nostrils. But this was a big deal because she is Beyonce so sh isn't normal. Right?

2. When she missed her mark at the Super Bowl.

During her Super Bowl Halftime Performance in 2013, Beyonce messed up. It’s sad to say but it’s one of those moments that if you were her look back on constantly even though no one talks about it. While performing Crazy in Love, she lies down in the center of the stage in what was supposed to be a pre outlined areas around her body. But she walked to far up missing the mark even if it was only on screen for 2 seconds. Everyone is allowed to mess up but she killed the rest of the performance so, it’s not that bad.

3. When she ripped off an earring and started to bleed.

The most recent case on this list, while performing at TIDALx1015 this past weekend, Beyonce ripped off an eating and started bleed. Being the professional she is, she just kept performing, wiped her ear and acted like nothing just happened. That also didn't stop her from returning later in the evening to perform again. But the fact is, Beyonce does bleed. She isn’t n alien life form with an outrageous amount of talent.

4. When she stumbled at the Super Bowl.

During Super Bowl 50, Beyoncé returned to join Coldplay and Bruno Mars. During a dance break in which she and her all female dancers battled Bruno and his male dancers, she dropped a little to far down and while coming back up stumbled. She easily jumped back into the choreography and it was even overlooked by many until someone called it out on twitter. What we learned here is that Beyoncé is no exception to the laws of physics, and does trip up. She stumbled down stairs years before but I think everyone forgets that happen so we’ll focus on the more recent.

5. When she released the song/video “Jealous.”

Beyoncé always brings hits that you can dance to but hold meaning at the same time. But there are times when the slower songs have a more prominent underlying meaning. Although she didn't write the song herself, she explained that while working on the album it appeared on, BEYONCÉ, she brought in her insecurities and the thought owning her imperfections . The song’s lyrics show vulnerability and the accompanying video shows that too as in the end she runs back into her lover’s arms, full of emotion.

6. When she revealed her miscarriage.

In her 2013, HBO Documentary Life is But A Dream, Beyoncé revealed that she suffered a miscarriage. This was before the birth of her first child Blue Ivy. An unfortunate amount of woman have miscarriages and Beyonce talking about this feels honest. A miscarriage is would be very difficult for any woman to go through. But being a celebrity and having all of your life just out there, her hiding it and being able to tell the world about it shows how strong Beyonce is and that she deserves respect just as anyone else.

Although this sounds like a joke, it has to be said although the aura she represents may have us think otherwise, Beyoncé is in fact human. She has experiences that others can relate to outside of her musical career and in her personal life. She does have feelings that when we hear about them just seem fake because she is Beyoncé. She is a role model to what hard work looks like.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
