This article goes out to all those boyfriends out there that think they go unrecognized. We know you are awesome and we love you very much. Sometimes we forget to tell you thanks because we don't even realize all that you do for us.
1) No one can put up with us like they can
Us girls can get pretty... moody. Especially when that time of the month comes around. We do apologize for how psycho we are being. We can't help it! I don't know how guys can put up with that every. Month. From food cravings to crying because you dropped the remote. Like do you realize how awkward they probably feel when you are crying at nothing? Yet, they still offer the shoulder to cry on and try to cheer you up. Even if you are a crazy "I wanna know where you are at all times" girlfriend, they STILL put up with that because they love you. Do they think you are crazy? Of course, but they still love you even if you get a little insecure sometimes.
2) He is a human trashcan
Whenever I didn't eat all of my food, my family always told me "There's starving kids in Africa." Of course that made me feel bad, so I would try to scarf down the rest of my scraps. Our boys make us feel like we aren't wasting anything! For some unknown reason there are some guys that can just consume as much food as a hippo and not gain weight. We have to appreciate them at least asking "Are you gonna finish that?" Then you scoot your plate to them and they slob in down with a satisfied smile on their face.
3) Taking millions of selfies and taking pictures of me and my friends
Pictures create memories of course! So why not make like 15 memories in one sitting? Sometimes that one selfie just isn't right. So you have to take another one, and another one, and another one. To your boyfriend they all look the same, but you can see all the flaws. One eye was closed more than the other, your smile looks funny, you think you have a double chin. Thank him for being patient with you and taking that same picture over and over again. When you are at a party and all your friends want to be in one picture.. Who is going to take it? The boyfriends of course!! You don't want that one friend to miss the cute pic.
4) Paying for meals/dates, but also letting me pay
There is this stereotype that guys MUST pay for the girls meal or whatever. Which is completely wrong! It is OK to pay for things sometimes. I'm sure the boys appreciate that from us so much! I think we forget just how much our boyfriends pay for. Think about all the dates, going to restaurants, and a drive thru. That adds up to be a lot of money! Plus all the little things they buy just because. We have to thank them for all the money they have spent on us.
5) Agreeing that so-and-so is absolutely annoying
Thank you for letting me rant about someone for forever. Even if it was over something little, you are always on my side. You rock for that.
6) Being the brave one to turn the lights off when we are cozy in bed
This is a BIG one. We know the feeling of being all cozy and comfy in bed. Warm and snug, and oh so comfortable. The only problem is.. The lights are still on. For some reason you are able to just get out of our pallet of comfort, and go turn off the lights. Seriously, thank you SO much for that.
No matter how moody we seem to be, or yelling at you for chewing too loud.. We appreciate everything you do. For always being there for us, and loving us unconditionally. WE LOVE YOU.
