It's the week that every single college student dreads every semester. The week where we all regret the times we went out instead of studied and the week we regret convincing ourselves to sleep in instead of go to class, but most importantly, it's the week before a month of home-cooked meals and family. We've got this!
1. Denial
The most common of all the stages, the one where we all lie and tell ourselves we have more time than we actually do so we don't have to deal with the reality of our grades not being where they should be.
2. More Denial
Yep...it happens to the best of us; continuously denying the fact that we have one week to get our lives together.
3. Sudden Realization
If you're lucky it happens to you sooner than later, but for most students it happens only a few days before their first final, and it's not a good feeling.
4. Actual Tears
If at any point during dead week or finals week you start cry, just remember you're definitely not the only one. Finals week is stressful for every single person, even students with a GPA of 4.0. So when the tears start to come just remember to laugh it off and think about getting to go home for an entire month in just a couple days.
5. Regret
Looking at the first question on the exam and immediately regretting deciding to sleep through all those 8 a.m. Psych classes instead of going to class.
6. Relief
Don't get too comfortable, this stage only lasts for a couple hours until the cycle begins again and the denial kicks in.
