Everyone worries at some point in their life. They worry about where they're going to be in a few years, who they're going to marry, what would have happened if they had done something differently in their life, or even where they're going to end up living. When we worry about things that have already happened or haven't happened yet, we sacrifice some of our happiness that we have now in the present and mourn something that we can't change or that might not even actually happen. Nobody can control their future or change their past no matter how hard they try. What happens tomorrow should be worried about tomorrow, and what has already happened should be kept in the past; these things shouldn't be wasted on today. I believe that if people would just worry about what is happening in their present day, they would see that they are so much happier with their lives. Here are a few reasons why you should live in the present, stop worrying about your future, and accept your past.

1. You waste your time that you have in the present if you worry about past or future things.

It's a shame how many people waste their time worrying because they miss out on some of the greatest moments of their lives over something that can't be changed or might not even happen.

2. You can't predict or control what happens in your life, so just live it day by day.

It's impossible to have complete control of your life no matter how hard you try. No one has the power to predict how their life is going to play out.

3. You'll worry less.

When you stop focusing on things that can wait to be done, you'll notice that it takes a huge weight off your shoulders.

4. You'll enjoy moments for what they are.

Instead of thinking of what could have been in your past, you should appreciate what you had or gained from it. What happened in your past happened for a reason, and whether it was a good or bad reason, it was meant to happen. Be thankful for everything that you've been through because you wouldn't be where you are today if it wasn't for your past.

5. You'll never be disappointed.

If you stop worrying about what's going to happen and just "go with the flow," you'll never be unsatisfied with your life. You'll enjoy every moment for what it is and take everything that is given to you.

6. Living in the present will reduce your stress.

Thinking too much about the future or the past can cause great stress on your body. You need to relax and enjoy the moment that you are living in right now because it's something that you can't get back.

The present moment is the only moment that you have control over right now. No matter how much you try to plan your life out, things are going to change and you never know how it's going to play out for you. You can choose to enjoy the moment, or you can choose to dwell in it. Even though you plan something out, it doesn't guarantee that it's going to work out that way, so why not accept what you can control now and enjoy it?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
