6 Reasons To Date A Sorority Girl

I’m just going to cut to the chase and explain why dating a sorority girl is the best.

1. Events

When it comes to attending events in college, there is no better place than a sorority. They have many exciting events throughout the year that make a weekday seem like a weekend. Everything from surprise date dashes to organized formal events is always a good time. The best is the crawfish boils because nothing is better than socializing and eating crawfish, and if you’re old enough, having a couple cold ones.

2. Football Games

The next great perk that comes with dating a sorority girl is having access to their tent. When it comes to game day, tailgating is a tradition at most colleges, and at Ole Miss, having a tent full of people and food is a special feeling. It is an atmosphere that is better to experience than it is to describe. Being able to have access to a sorority tent makes for a really fun time because you get to meet numerous people, and they have a variety of food, even a s’mores bar sometimes.

3. Food

Everyone loves food, but what is better than free food? Free food from a sorority house because everything is made with love from the ladies in the kitchen. Those ladies are something special to each house because they are able to satisfy every single person in some way. Whether it is grilled chicken or veggies, there is always a wide spread to make sure everyone’s hunger is satisfied. Even though visitors can only eat lunch on certain days during the week, it is those days I look forward to eating the most. From panini makers, salad bars, and even those homemade scrumptious chocolate chip cookies, eating at a sorority house will always leave you smiling.

I know most of the reasons I have listed so far seem materialistic, but there is much more to dating a sorority girl than just those aspects, which brings me to the next reason.

4. Dedication

For most guys, we want nothing more than a girl who is dedicated, and sorority girls are some of the most dedicated girls you will meet. Some already have it, some develop it, but they all show it. Sororities are very demanding, especially when it comes to rush stuff. Each girl has to complete community service hours, maintain a high enough GPA to remain in the sorority, attend weekly chapter meetings, sisterhood events, and rush practice that lasts hours and hours. They are well organized, which is helpful because they can help you get organized, but more importantly they have their priorities in check.

5. Less Gossip You Have to Hear

With all the time sorority girls spend at their house, many friendships and bonds are formed, which means more gossip they tell each other. This is great news for any and every guy because this means less gossip we have to hear. Don’t get me wrong, we love listening to what our woman has to say, but when it comes to nitpicky gossip, it is better to talk about it with your sisters than your significant other.

6. Personality

It goes a long way, and sorority girls have great ones. They are always around crowds of people, but no matter where they are, their personalities enable them to socialize and interact with anybody. It makes having a conversation with them easier. Having a girlfriend with a great personality is the key to a healthy and successful relationship.

When it comes to it, dating a sorority girl is the best for various reasons. Any guy should be honored to date a sorority girl; I know I am.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
