I'm sure everyone who doesn't live under a rock has heard about Pokemon Go. While some people have put it down because they think it's more dangerous than fun, here are some reasons why it's great and you should play it:

1. People who aren't really into video games can now learn about one of the most popular franchises in the video gaming industry.

They can immerse themselves in a fun, free, virtual reality game app that lets the user become a real life Pokemon trainer.

2. It gets a lot of people to walk around outside.

Even if they're just looking at their phones, it's a good motivator for people (especially those who prefer to play video games inside) to go out and burn some calories. Central Park, for example, has become a hub for "Pokemon Go" trainers, for the amount of Pokemon and Pokestops found there.

3. Pokestops and gyms allow people to find out little facts about their town/city.

Whether it be historical or simply informational, it shows people places in their town/city that they probably didn't even know existed.

4. Pokemon trainers get to use the metric system in real life.

Even if it's to find out how far they have to walk in order to hatch an egg (in which a Pokemon will pop out of when you meet the specified walking distance requirement).

5. People can meet new friends at Pokestops and gyms too.

Since a lot of people are going to the same places now for the game, people will often see someone else already there trying to collect items or battling at the gym. Even though this seems like a dangerous idea and could lead to kidnappings, robberies, etc., which have happened already, the game does tell you at the loading screen to be alert and aware of your surroundings at all times.

6. It helps out businesses!

Fast food restaurants, gas stations, cafés and stores that have been marked as a Pokestops are getting more customers. Signs like this now pop up at restaurant doors due to people hunting for Pokemon or Pokemon items.

While it should be acknowledged that the game is indeed risky to play and dangerous, that is not the intention of the game. The creators of the game intended for this to be a way for people to interact with each other and their surrounding world in a friendly manner. The risks involved in playing this game are simply real-life risks that everyone should be cautious of anyway. And remember, be alert at all times. Stay aware of your surroundings.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
