Let's be real. In my high school days, I slapped on some eyeliner and MAYBE a little mascara before driving my ass to class with seconds to spare. I woke up at the absolute latest moment possible and would only wake up early if I was going to stop at Dunkin' on the way. If I went to high school in 2017 with highlighting and contouring existing, I wouldn't have survived (side note: you know you can contour your lips, right?! what the hell, man). So, I've done the research for you -- a.k.a. watched thousands of hours worth of YouTube videos when bored -- and compiled a list of fabulous women to subscribe to if you really just need a crash course on what to buy, how to apply, and how to rock today's latest makeup trends (like I drastically needed upon entering college/finally becoming a girl).

Jaclyn Hill

Alright, this goes without saying. Bubbly personality and really ALL ABOUT THAT GLOW. I mean, if you want to know how and what to highlight, she's ya girl. And she is basically that YouTuber that everyone already knows of and if you like her, you love her but if you don't... then I guess that's your opinion... and I respect it... weirdo.

Arguably the first makeup YouTube video I ever laid eyes on, she's the reason I got hooked. So real, so down to earth. I trust her recommendations and, honestly, she's just fun to watch and hang out with for a lil. Is that creepy? P.s. her taste in TV shows is just as bomb as her blending skills are.

She is someone I recently started binge-watching, and I. Just. Love. Her. From her Disney obsession to her goal worthy marriage with her also-YouTuber husband, Tyler -- she's one of those people you just wanna hug. She also gives fabulous reviews and frequently uses drugstore makeup which my wallet greatly appreciates.

RachhLoves

This Canadian sweetheart is quite possibly the most radiant and bubbly person ever. She frequently does "Pinterest Hacks" and it's always entertaining to watch. She also does a follow-up review of every product she hauls (these are such YouTube terms... wow) and it is always really helpful for people like me, who want to buy anything and everything.

Mariah Leonard

Okay. This bitch is hilarious. And yes, I just cursed because that's how frickin' hilarious she is. She always comes up with new and unique ideas to showcase/review products and I am constantly entertained by her personality. Not to mention, her videos convinced me to purchase the NYX banana powder and for that, I am forever grateful. This is super girl-crush-y but, you know what, I'm okay with it.

Cosmobyhaley

Another one who is always honest and gives great reviews, I could binge this chick for hours. Her personality is great and, I mean, her blending skills are flawless. What more do I need to say?

So, there ya have it. These YouTuber's provide the best and most helpful tutorials along with product reviews that are honest and trustworthy. I, of course, am all about beauty within rather than excessive materialistic outward beauty, BUT what girl doesn't love a little indulgence in makeup once in awhile? Plus, it's hard to keep up with all this stuff, am I right, ladies?

Happy contouring!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
