Who would we be without our parents? Who would we have grown up to be without their support, guidance, love, and lessons? I am a product of two of the most exquisite people I have ever met. I couldn't be any more proud to be their daughter. Here's to you, Mom and Dad. Through all the teenage years where I drove you two away to finally saying goodbye as I headed off to college, here's a list of things I want to thank you for.

1. Thank you for always calling to check in. Some people hardly hear from their parents, and it means so much to get a phone call several times a week.

2. Thank you for showing me what a healthy and loving relationship is. You have paved the way for what I want my future to consist of.

3. Thank you for getting mad at me when I did something wrong. It showed that you cared.

4. Thank you for sacrificing your weekends during travel ball. I didn’t realize the importance of a weekend until now, and you were always there to cheer me on.

5. Thank you for making family dinners a priority.

6. Thank you for hugging me close and tight when I went through my first heartbreak.

7. Thank you for coming home with flowers and cupcakes the day after the breakup, just to let me know that you cared. I cried more just by the thoughtfulness of your actions.

8. Thank you for taking the time to tuck me into bed at night when I was little.

9. Thank you for your care packages, especially during times when I need it the most.

10. Thank you for being my forever valentine.

11. Thank you for working in order to create a life for me that’s truly magical and full.

12. Thank you for waiting up for me during the late nights out or the times I would get home late from work.

13. Thank you for sharing in my accomplishments.

14. Thank you for sharing in my defeats.

15. Thank you for being damn good parents, ones that laugh with me, cry with me, and most importantly, ones that are my biggest supporters.

16. Thank you for becoming my best friends.

17. Thank you for letting the family get a dog.

18. Thank you for having my best interest at heart.

19. Thank you for driving long road trips just to celebrate in my accomplishments.

20. Thank you for welcoming all of my new friends, new haircuts, and the awkward fashion trends.

21. Thank you for being someone I was never afraid to talk to or go to when I had a problem.

22. Thank you for making some of the most incredible food I have ever eaten.

23. Thank you for providing a roof over my head and a bed that I can sleep in every night.

24. Thank you for the little things, the random cards with a gift card in them, the random "I love you" texts, and the big welcome I get every time I come home.

25. Thank you for making it fun to go home, a place that is always welcoming and loving.

26. Thank you for making life worth living.

27. Thank you for taking pictures even when I say not to. I find that some of the best memories are lived through your pictures.

28. Thank you for including me in your life, on vacations, updated on the family drama, and what happened at work today.

29. Thank you for accepting my friends as family.

30. Thank you for rainy movie dates, bowling dates, dinner dates, and breakfast dates.

31. Thank you for listening, for allowing me to tackle life with someone by my side.

32. Thank you for your patience at times I know you may want to kill me.

33. Thank you for snapping pictures even when I tell you no more. I secretly love it.

34. Thank you for showing me all about respect and what it means to be a good person.

35. Thank you for showing me that crying doesn’t make you weak, only human.

36. Thank you for always being down to take some pictures.

37. Thank you for keeping your family members involved in my life.

38. Thank you for still making an Easter basket for me every year.

39. Thank you for the ability to put a smile on my face whenever I see you.

40. Thank you for always allowing me to come home no matter where life may take me or the challenges that I may face.

41. Thank you for your past that brought you two together.

42. Thank you for fighting like hell in the past so that I could have the life I have today.

43. Thank you for being brutally honest, like the time I gave a presentation and said the word “Um” 50 billion times.

44. Thank you for loving animals as much as I do.

45. Thank you for teaching me how to ride my bike and do a cartwheel for the first time.

46. Thank you for showing me exactly how a woman should be treated.

47. Thank you for setting the standard of my future husband extremely high.

48. Thank you for picking me back up when I failed.

49. Thank you for allowing me to get a college education.

50. Thank you for putting my needs ahead of yours at times.

51. Thank you for getting me braces.

52. Thank you for always taking care of me when I’m sick, especially when you stir all the bubbles out of my soda.

53.Thank you for loving me the way I love you.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
