Tomi Lahren, a television host and political commentator for "The Blaze," is really good at saying the wrong (racist) thing at the wrong time, but looking really good while doing it. As a loud conservative and devout Christian, Lahren always makes sure to shout-out God and bash Hillary Clinton in every racism doused episode. Her segments, "Final Thoughts With Tomi," never seem final, since she continuously rattles on about subjects that her 23-year-old, white-privileged-ass-brain can never truly understand. Tomi Lahren needs to shut up.

Lahren grew up in South Dakota (majority of population is white people) and graduated from University of Las Vegas, Nevada in 2014 (again, majority of population, WHITE PEOPLE). Who is she to judge or even have an opinion for Jesse William's speech at the BET Awards or Beyonce's revolutionary performance at the Super Bowl? Lahren responds in regards too Beyonce's performance with "Why be a cultural leader when you can play the victim, right?," What? Hey Tomi, how about you be a cultural leader and stop perpetuating reverse racism ONTO yourself! She then continues with claiming how little white girls want to be like Beyonce just as much as little black girls do and that Jay Z was a drug dealer. Look up ad hominem in a fallacy dictionary and Tomi Lahren's perfectly contoured face will appear.

For such a young person, she has gained quick success and has become a continuously trending topic on Facebook and other social media outlets for her "thoughts". Unfortunately, the more recognition she receives, the more racist/annoying she becomes. She is white and "won't apologize for it". Oh Tomi, you don't need to apologize, you just need to shut the f@#k up.

Frankly, Lahren needs to stop having thoughts, at least the offensive ones. What is even more upsetting is the potential and opportunity Lahren has to be a trailblazer for women in the conservative news industry and in general. A woman standing up for what she believes, speaking on her opinions, and getting her own show out of it is remarkably inspirational for other girls, but when that privilege is abused, it back fires. It's great to have an opinion, it just seems that Lahren has all the wrong ones. She is digging herself a hole as big as her mouth. How is she allowed, let alone paid, to say grotesque and ignorant things repeatedly on television? Her twitter is just as repulsive, including this quickly deleted but immensely stupid comment regarding the recent shootings in Dallas:

As you can see, Tomi Lahren needs to shut up and if you think so too, you can sign this petition:

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
