It's that time of year again where we celebrate the best holidays of the year: Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa, and more. The best thing about this time of year are all of the great movies to watch. Here are 5 holiday movies you must see this year.

1. Home Alone...All of Them!

It's not Christmas time unless you watch Home Alone with your friends and family. This movie is an all time favorite for many people, including me. Now, you can't just watch the first one. You instead must marathon all of the Home Alone movies together.

2. A Rugrats Chanukah and A Rugrats Kwanzaa

These are two holiday movies, for holidays that don't get as much screen time. They are great family favorites, and two movies I used to watch every holiday season growing up. If you aren't into the whole childish outlook on the Kwanzaa holiday, you can always look into the documentary The Black Candle which is actually narrated by Maya Angelou. Same goes if you want a more upbeat, more modern take on Chanukah, check out Eight Crazy Nights with Adam Sandler.

3. A Christmas Story

This is the traditional timeless movie that every family winds up watching together at least once if not 10 times together over the course of the holiday season. I know my family and I always wind up seeing it a few times on Christmas day as TBS marathons it for 24 hours. This movie is perfect for sitting around with family, joking, and sipping hot chocolate.

4. Holiday in Handcuffs

This is one of my personal favorites. Sadly it is not as well known, but it is definitely worth a watch during the holiday season. Mario Lopez and Melissa Joan Hart spice up the holidays in this unconventional Christmas love story. This movie is full of laughs, love, and lies, but it makes for the perfect holiday love story in the end.

5. The Santa Clause...once again...all of them

This film series is probably one that every child saw growing up. I know my family and I used to see it every year together, and it never gets old. This is a great movie for those late nights of staying in during the holiday season, or when you just need a light-hearted and fun Christmas movie.

All of these are great holiday movies and are perfect for this time of year. Let me know your favorites as well!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
