5 Ways To Deal With Stress
Ruby Vickers

Most people have something in their life that they're stressed about. Whether it be exams, work or money, everyone is affected at some point in their life.

Sometimes you need to acknowledge your stress and try to relax. Worrying about the source of your stress will make you even more stressed and won't help at all so you need to take some time to help yourself. Everyone is different, but here are a few remedies you could try!

1. Have a hot bath

You need to allow your body to relax as well as your mind. A hot bath will relax your muscles as well as your state of mind. You can read in the bath, listen to music, or just have lots of bubbles. However you do it, a bath is relaxing.

2. Go for a walk

For some people, just getting some fresh air can help clear the mind. Exercise releases endorphins which improve your mood. Even if you don't like exercise, you can just walk around the block and go with a friend or listen to music if you don't want to be alone.

3. Watch some of your favourite TV shows or movies

Nothingmakes you feel better like a good laugh at the TV. Sit down, relax, either on your own or with family/friends and watch some of your favorite shows or films. Have some ice cream, grab a blanket and have a relaxing evening!

4. Read a book

Some people may find it hard to concentrate when stressed but for lots of people, reading is the perfect escape. Read a book and get lost in a story so you forget about what's going on in your life and you aren't worrying any more.

5. Hang out with family and friends

Sometimes what you need is a good laugh and some genuine fun to forget what is going on. You could go out and do whatever you want or you could stay in: it doesn't matter! As long as you are enjoying yourself with loved ones, what you do doesn't matter.

Just remember: look after yourselves!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
