Everyone has their own personality. We all express ourselves in millions of different ways. Even though we all express ourselves, that does not mean that we are all expressing ourselves to the fullest. Everyone has good in them, some more than others. But the good is there! It is our choice whether we want to show that good, or the level of how much good we want to show to the world. While others do not struggle with this, others have a hard time being nice to others. This can be a result of the environment around them or ow they were brought up. Being the best person you can be is not hard. Step by step you can grow and be the full and real you, no matter how you were raised or what environment you grew up in. I have experienced these situations myself many of times. People have not been the nicest to me or others around me. And the others are extremely nice to me and the people around me. It all comes down to the choice of you actions and who you chose to be as a person. Over the course of 20 years, I believe that I have collectively gathered good tips on how I believe someone can present themselves as the best person they can be.
5. Stop The Judgement
We all judge each other, whether it is over something someone said, or something someone wore. We all do it, even me. Judging is just one thing that can start the aspect of bulling and hurting others. Even though most do it behind people's backs, this does not make it any better. Judging someone is like "judging a book by its' cover." When you look at a book, the cover might be bland and the title could be boring, but until you look at the back or open the cover to read the synapsis, you have no idea what that book is about. The cover could be boring but the story inside the cover could be amazing and hold so much detail and emotion. The same concept goes for people. Judging them by their "cover" is not fair because all we are seeing is what they are showing. There is so much that lies within a person, so many stories and emotions just like a book. Stop judging people, and instead get to know them and find out their story. Treat others how you would want to be treated. Be the better person.
4. Try To Live Life With No Regrets
When something is hard, the easiest thing to do is walk away. Everyone has walked away from something before. I know I have, I walked away from my activities that I did because sports, work and school became too hard. I had to make the choice of what was more important and I had to be an adult. I do regret walking away from it because sports made me happy but it was a decision I had to make. It is something I regret. You do not ever want to regret something. Once you regret the choice you have made, that choice will haunt you for a long time. You can not move on if you are stuck in the past. We have to learn to think our choices through and make the best decisions for us, and for our happiness. Life is not worth living if you are not happy. I made the choice to be an adult and sometimes that is what you have to do. Other times, choosing to be happy is the best choice you can make. It will make you happier and a better person in the process.
3. The Little Things Matter Most
Everyday we go though our lives making choices. These choices are not always good ones. Now, I am not referring to picking chips to eat over fruit, I mean holding the door for the person behind you or telling someone that you liked their outfit. Doing one of those things among others, can bring a smile to someones face. A smile leads to making that person just a little happier in that moment. For all you know, that one little thing could have just made their whole day better, or turned a really day into a good one. The little things in life are what matters the most. A simple little jester can turn someones whole day around. These things also do not take up a lot of time. Smiling at someone, or holding the door for the person behind you takes a minute at most. Personally, I would love to know I could simply help someone by doing something in the moment, even if it is just something small.
2. Hate is a BIG No
We live in a world where there is opinions. Everyone has them and everyone expresses them. It is called freedom of speech. The only thing wrong with opinions is that we all do not agree and not all opinions are nice ones. Some people might say that no opinion is wrong, and others will say that only their opinion is the right one. I do believe that everyone's opinions are right but that does not mean that they are all nice. For example, everyone has their opinion when to comes to LGBT community. Some support it while others are extremely against it. Just because you have an opinion does not necessarily mean you need to share it. Why do you have to hurt someone else to be happy with yourself? Hurting others and bringing them down is just mean and cruel. If that brings you satisfaction, then you might want to re evaluate your beliefs. Why would you feel good about yourself knowing you hurt another? The point I am trying to make is to keep the negative opinions to yourself and just strive to share good opinions. Hate is the last thing this world needs. And hate does not make you a better person.
1. Positivity Is The Key
No one wants to be negative. Why would you want to be the person to always say no? After a while, people will just stop asking because they already know your answer. Don't ever be scared to say yes or try something new. Positivity is the key to happiness and being the best person you can be. Stay positive when things go wrong. Things can always turn around but if you think negatively then only negative things will happen. Positivity controls a lot more in your life then one might think. Everyone wants good things to happen to them and everyone wants to be happy. Stay positive in your life and good things can and will happen.
