5 Things Your Spring Break Needs

Spring Break is finally in view, and coming up soon. If you don't already have plans, maybe this can help you get some rolling.

1. A Spring Break playlist

Anyone knows good music can be key to any event, so why not make sure you've got a killer playlist ready for anything that may come your way. Here's my top 8!

1. "One Call Away" - Charlie Puth

2. "Stitches" - Shawn Mendes

3. "Locked Away" - R. City Ft. Adam Levine

4. "Trap Queen" - Fetty Wap

5. "Die A Happy Man" - Thomas Rhet

6. "Leave the Night On" - Sam Hunt

7. "Sober" - Childish Gambino

8. "Polaroid" - Imagine Dragons

2. The perfect vacay spot

I don't know what your plans are, but for so many, it's all about finding that perfect spot to either spend with family or friends. Here's just a few ideas you can contemplate!

1. PCB, Dirty Myrtle or whatever the hot beach to hit up is

2. A trip to see your long distance BF, BF or BFF

3. New York City

4. A theme Park like Disney World

5. Somewhere out of the country

6. Your bed (because we all know it's way more comfortable than the one at school)

3. Relaxation

After the past two months of school, you deserve a break. I know for me, this semester has been way harder than any in the past, so I know that I need some relaxation and some down time so my brain doesn't turn to mush the last little bit of the semester. Here's some tips on how to just take a chill pill:

1. Have a nice spa day, whether it be in your own home, or a nice day at the spa with your mom, or some friends.

2. Read a book for pure enjoyment. I actually love to read, so being able to read something of my own choice is relaxation for me.

3. Sleep as much as you want to. We all need to catch up on hours of sleep after pulling countless all-nighters.

4. Play with puppies. Or kittens. Or anything cute and fluffy.

5. Find a creative outlet, whether it be singing, writing, painting. Find your niche.

4. A change

I don't know about any of you, but sometimes I just need to change something. I get tired of the way things are, so I decide to spice things up sometimes!

1. Move your furniture in your room around

2. Try a new clothing style

3. Dye your hair

4. Or cut your hair!

5. Pick up a new hobby

5. A new skincare and beauty routine

I am huge on skincare and healthy hair, and especially with us going into warmer weather. Your skin needs a nice routine in order to be prepared for all of those UV rays I know most of you will be soaking up either in the tanning bed or outside. And your hair will be thanking you after being exposed to chlorine all summer.

1. Face Wash: One of my personal favorites is Bare Minerals Pure Plush Cleaner. ($22)

2. Moisturizer: I like Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Correcting Cream Moisturizer. ($9.99)

3. Sunscreen: I've been obsessed with the Hawaiian Tropic Shimmer Effect Sunscreen for some time now. The shimmer helps reflect the sun so you stay protected, but also still get that beautiful tan. ($9.50)

4. Shampoo: I really like the OGX products, and I've tried a lot of them. Right now, I'm between the Brazilian Keratin Therapy or the Coconut Milk. They both smell so good, and then make my hair feel so soft as well as clean. ($6)

5. Conditioner: Staying in line with the OGX products, I've found that I really like the Argan Oil of Morocco Intensive Treatment conditioner. It comes in a screw top container, and my hair has never felt softer after use. ($8)

I hope everyone has a super fantastic spring break. If you try out one of my tips, tag me on Twitter or on Instagram so I can check it out. Best of luck the rest of the semester!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
