Now that school has let out for the summer many people are stuck with the common problem, what do I do with my summer? For many after the first few weeks of freedom wears off, and you've watched everything decent on Netflix we start to wonder what to do with my free time now overflowing. Here are my top 5 picks to alleviate summer boredom
1. Go out hiking.
Probably one of the things that gets me to be the most active is to go to the local walking and biking trails in my hometown, and just spend a few hours walking them especially with my dog. It's a great way to get some exercise and just enjoy the good weather.
2. Pack a picnic.
Spend some time in the kitchen with family or friends, make some good food, and go set up outside to have a nice picnic at a local park or even in your backyard.
3. Get a job.
Sometimes finding work over the summer can give you something to do, as well as a way to build up some cash for when school starts up. I also recommend checking out temp agencies for work, since it can sometimes be difficult to find work for the relatively short period we are off from school.
4.Curve that caffeine craving.
For many of use coffee is a necessity during the school year. However without those last minute projects or late night study sessions you can work on cutting back on the coffee without it affecting your performance in school, or keeping you from falling asleep in class.
5.Check out some unique shops.
Go online and find some shops in the closest big city, Nashville for me, and compile a list to check out. It can make your experience going better as you won't be wandering aimlessly around, but have an actual goal in mind.
