Summer is a great season. It's finally warm, there's no school, you can sleep late, ice cream, pools, there's no school, you can basically do whatever you want to do. Here's 10 things you should do this summer.
1. Sleep.
Sleep is underrated. It relaxes you and it's restful. It also builds your brain back up from the stress of the day and stores away that day's memories. Sleep more. You have the time.
2. Have a water fight.
You're never too old to break out the water balloons and the spray guns. It's a fun way to cool off and blow off some steam at the same time. And it can be epic.
3. Go to as many concerts as you can.
You'll never have as much fun with a group of strangers than you will at a concert. The music's blasting and you're dancing with your group of friends. There's a reason post-concert depression exists- you're supposed to have more fun than you're used to having!
4. Eat as much ice cream as you can.
Why not? It's summer and ice cream is delicious. Unless you're lactose intolerant or allergic to dairy. In that case, go eat a freeze pop.5. Stay in contact with your friends.
While only some of us are leaving for college, we still go AWOL during the summer. Text your friends every once in awhile. Hang out. Go get ice cream or go to a concert. And if you are going away to college, make some new friends on your college's Facebook page and keep up with them!
6. Actually read your summer reading list.
Unless it's Huckleberry Finn- because no one can get through all of that incorrect grammar. Seriously, don't. You're welcome.
7. Get a summer job.
It gets you out of the house and you get some extra spending money. You can buy some concert tickets, save up for a car or put it away for college. And it's good to have on your resume.
