- Be yourself!
It is so hard to choose an outfit when going on an interview especially for girls. Men can basically just wear dress pants and a button-down shirt and look fine but women need a little more flare to make them seem classy and confident. Ladies, you should put on something that makes you feel confident in your own skin. Not something too risky because this is an interview but not something too conservative that hides your natural beauty. You want something that highlights your natural curves.
It seems to me that a lot of people in this day and age fail to eat breakfast. It is the most important meal of the day. You need to have energy when going on an interview so it is extremely important to fuel up with something good. Employers look for people that have high energy levels.
When choosing what to wear it is really important that you understand how different colors portray you. It is knowing that different colors give off different vibes. Wearing red may be very appealing in a bar it will make you seem like you are power hungry and assertive in an interview. Orange while bright and happy on a summer day may seem annoying to the eye in an interview if too bright and may actually make the employer think of you as a nuisance. Purple is my favorite color but is also the color of mystery and may make you seem as though you have something hide. Blue is the best color to wear on an interview it is calming yet attractive. It says that you are not overly eager but interested in pursuing the job.
Girls heels on an interview may make or break the outfit. If you wear heels to an interview they should be shoes that you have worn before and are comfortable in because you will be nervous and do not want to accidently slip! The right heels will add confidence to the outfit and will make you stand taller than you already are. There is something about a girl all dolled up in flats, it is unfinished!
This sounds so cliché but it is so true! On an interview, you cannot pretend or lie to anyone because the employer will probably see right through it if not then eventually. Each job interview is an experience and you must realize that the future employer is determining if he/she wants you for the job just like you are determining if you want to work in the establishment.
