5 Things Us Girls Love To Dream About

I like to think that all girls are different and we are, we all have unique career aspirations, different styles, BUT there is one thing we all have in common.. we love to dream! Sometimes our minds wander, class can be boring or we just want to escape our current reality and live in our future. Life can be stressful but our dreams so aren't! After a long day of studying, work, athletics, whatever it may be; Here's five things we've all spent our time dreaming of:

1. Your first home.

Whatever you choose to start with, an apartment, a small home, whatever it may be, it's yours and you will decorate it how you want. Your inspiration comes from HGTV, Pintrest and Pier 1, and you have no shame. Yes, some things are essential, like stainless steel appliances and super cute salt and pepper shakers, and how cool is dual purpose furniture?

2. Your dream job.

Either you're like me and you have no clue what you want to do, or you've know you wanted to be a teacher since you were five. But yes, you would look super cute in a business suit, but being a lawyer just isn't your thing, unless you're Elle Woods.

3. Your future husband.

I wonder if I have met him? I HOPE IT'S MY BOYFRIEND! Will it be my ex? Or will I fall in love with someone totally different? --sigh-- Future husband, can you just propose already? I'm not getting any younger here!

4. Your future children's names.

Yep, you've got names, boys and girls, you have them written down in your notes or in your diary and you've told your friends. First, and middle! All that's left is the mystery last name which could MAKE OR BREAK your BEAUTIFUL names for your children.

5. YOUR WEDDING!!

If you are a female and you're trying to tell me you've never dreamed of your wedding you're just lying to yourself. You probably have a Pinterest board specifically for this big day. By now, you might even know your accent color (mine will be Tiffany blue) and the perfect cake. Oh, and honey, if your man isn't crying while you're walking down the aisle, is it even real?

While it's fun to dream of these things, you will never be this age again, be present with the now and enjoy your youth. But don't stop dreaming, it's fun!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
