Snow days are the best thing to happen since elementary school, however, there is a whole new level of appreciation for them once you enter college. In college, at the first sign of snow, there is always the anticipation for the “class cancelled” email. Once that email finally comes, there are a limitless amount of things to partake in to entertain yourself.
1. Snow Parties
This is the typical go to for most college students. The first sign that class could be cancelled, people are already getting ready to through the best snow party. You can always find a bunch of these occurring during the snow days.
2. Movie Marathon
A personal favorite of mine is to bundle up inside with a whole bunch of movies. I usually like to call up all my closest friends and we all pick a place to go and bring our blankets and movies of choice and just get it going.
3. Craft
What better way to spend a free day then crafting? Whether it be for yourself, a friend, or your little, crafting takes a lot of time that most college students do not have. Snow days can provide that time for everyone to bring out their craft kits and craft the day away.
4. Clean/Homework
Even though these options aren’t the most fun experiences, they can be productive. A good time to catch up on homework and studying, or finally clean your room, a snow day provides this opportunity.
5. Sleep
Everyone knows that college students get little to no sleep because of homework and such. If you don’t like the first couple of options, there is always the best one, which is to bundle up in bed and sleep the snow day away.
Whether you are a fan of snow days or not, there are always plenty of things to do when they come. If nothing else, you can read a nice book. Make sure you stay warm and safe this winter!
