Have you ever wondered how you can wake up early and start your day right? I have struggled to get up early and have a good breakfast. For me I'd rather sleep in some more than wake up, however, I found some tips that might help others that are going through the same thing as I am.
1. Set an alarm.
Yes, that's right; set an alarm to a time that is appropriate for you to wake up to. I promise you don't need to set an alarm at 6 a.m.. For me I have my alarm clock set at 8 a.m., and this gives me time to check my social media accounts and to actually wake up. This might seem hard at first, and that is completely OK. You can change the time on your alarm according to when you feel it is necessary to wake up.
2. Have a cup of coffee or tea.
Now this is a perfect way to start your morning right, especially if you love caffeine just like me. I honestly wouldn't be able to function if I didn't have a cup of coffee, maybe even two or three cups. Also tea is another great drink for the morning. There are different types of tea you can drink. For me I normally do Green Tea or Lemon Tea. Now, if you don't really prefer either coffee or tea, that is perfectly fine. Choose the drink you like the most, and no that does not include soda.
3. Set a goal.
This step might seem funny to some people but I promise it does help to make your day better. These can be little goals such as doing an act of kindness that day, or complimenting someone. These goals can also be getting your room clean or actually doing a homework assignment and not procrastinating.
4. Do a workout/breakfast.
Another way to become a morning person is doing a work out in the morning. I don't mean you need to do a full on workout and spend a lot of hours doing the workout. Just a little cardio in the morning will go a long way. This workout is up to you and if you feel like you can commit to doing the workout each morning. If you don't feel like you want to do a cardio workout, then make some breakfast.
5. Read a book.
I'll admit this step is probably my favorite because I'm a book nerd. Nine times out of 10 you will find me with a book in my hand. But hey, I promise it's not a bad thing. Reading is fun and to me it is better than watching TV. The book can be up to you, whether you want to reading fiction, non fiction, or even if you want to do a little Bible journaling.
This is how I set up my daily morning routine. Each day I try to do each step, however, if I am unable to then it's OK.These steps are to help you wake up in the morning so you can start your day early.
