In every friend group, there are different types of personalities and people. You have the outgoing friend, the always happy friend, the negative friend, the crazy friend. But the friend everyone in the group forgets about is the hippie. This may be because you don't wear flowy pants every day, or have your hair middle parted with a braided headband, but there are signs that you, in fact, are a hippie.

1. Your political views may be a little too liberal for some

You are all about keeping the peace, having restrictions on guns, the right to protest, everyone having equal rights, and you believe in climate change.

2. The Beatles are your life especially John Lennon and his motto of peace

Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band is hands down your favorite album to exist. Some of your friends are just as obsessed, while others have never listened to one of their songs. Your biggest dream is to see them live in concert, but that is literally a dream considering two of the members are dead. Either way, the Fab Four will continue to live on as the best band in history.

3. You're obsessed with Woodstock

You either know it or you don't. This was the OG music festival. It was three days of peace and it included Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and many more who were the ultimate hippies.

4. Flowers are your thing

This might seem basic to some but flowers are a symbol of peace and serenity. There is a reason why people back in the 60s and 70s wore them 24/7, they bring about a calm to people, a happiness. Sunflowers are like a little bundle of joy and lying in a sunflower field is the only way to be. Really you just love the earth and being around nature and protecting the nature around you.

5. Peace isn't just an idea, it's your lifestyle

You are all about peace. This comes to peace with yourself, peace with others, and peace within the world. Yea you can be mean at times, but all you want is for everyone even people you don't get along with to have peace and for that peace to radiate through the world so everyone can love and respect each other.

I could list a million more ways you are the hippie of the friend group, but I will leave it with just this. Remember if someone makes fun of you for being a hippie that you have extremely rad taste in music, and that these people have been activists for peace and equality for years. Peace and love everyone.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
