5 Signs That Show You Love Formal Recruitment

Every year a huge event happens each semester during the fall- known as formal recruitment. Most of groan when we hear that term, others (or I should say a few others) love every aspect about recruitment. I happen to be one of those few that love recruitment. If you consider yourself to be in love with recruitment too, listed below are the few signs that show you love formal recruitment.

1. You love learning about the dancing and singing.

After your VP of recruitment is constantly pushing you to sing and dance, over and over again, suddenly your sisters want to slice her in the throat. You on the other hand, or enjoying every single minute of it. As a matter of fact, you probably get way to into it. You later start to realize that you are break dancing in front of your sisters and then your sisters want to slice you in the throat. Not your VP of recruitment though, she is enjoying all the enthusiasm you are bringing to practice.

2. You love talking to the potential new members.

You enjoy meeting new girls and making conversation with them. Some of your sisters despise meeting new people-they hate making conversation because they are so awkward. You probably enjoy it so much that you start to realize that your face hurts from smiling so much.

3. You love talking in general!

Even though you have some sisters losing their voices while talking to so many girls, you are still going strong and continuing conversations. Although you know you talk too much whenever you don't get the PNM a chance to even speak... So consider that a lesson learned.

4. You enjoy the fast-paced environment.

The minute those PNM's walk outside the door, you and your sisters run frantically to your tables and write your thoughts about the girl you just talked to. Not only that, the ENTIRE day of Recruitment is a speedy atmosphere. You are making sure you are making enough time to talk to your PNM, you have to make sure the PNM's arrive/leave the room at a certain time, and you have to remember to bump your sister in order for her to talk to a new PNM. Which if you do like this kind of environment, that could become a great benefit to you whenever it comes to finding jobs. You're welcome.

5. Lastly, you constantly have the energy while all of your other sisters are brain dead.

Your sisters are thinking you are psychotic whenever you are still singing and cheering. Even towards the very last round when all of your other sisters are tired, you are still going at it. You then get your other sisters pumped by doing weird dance moves and making them feel uncomfortable as possible.

Although formal recruitment can be annoying, stressful, and tiring, your chapter wouldn't be where it was today if it weren't for all your sisters. You all fit the quantities needed for your chapter and you all know what to look for whenever you are talking to that PNM during rounds. You all continue the legacy and make sure it gets carried on by the next generation. You are all making your chapter better every day and it's something you all should be proud about. If you consider yourself to be obsessed with recruitment, you should consider running for VP of recruitment or just have any involvement of recruitment. You never know what impact you can make for your chapter and sisters.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
