Ah water. Such a simple thing. Yet, somehow, it manages to evade me for days at a time. I will drink smoothies and iced teas and juices but never just good old water in it's purest form. Considering my body is made up of more than 50% of it, I think now would be a good time to realize just how good water is for me and for all of us.
1. Your brain is about 90% percent water.
Yeah, that thing you have in your noggin' that pretty much makes sure you can function in life? Yep, that thing needs to be hydrated with water! Not coffee, not matcha, just good old H2O kids.
2. You may never need to wear foundation again.
I know a lot of girlies these days don't wear makeup to cover up but more as an expression of art, but if you happen to be covering up a few blemishes here and there I have just the product for you. Water! It's full coverage like you've NEVER seen before. It covers your entire body and oh look! Is your skin as smooth as a baby's bottom now?
*Sold in your local everywhere for crying out loud.
3. Put down the cookies!
Yes, I've read about this countless times; lack of water can apparently be the reason why we snack so much sometimes. Sometimes your brain can confuse thirst with hunger and so you reach over for a salty snack which continues to dehydrate you and so a vicious cycle occurs. Next time you're craving some KFC or something, drink a big glass of water.
4. Step aside FitTea and BooTea.
I'm sure we've also seen those expensive as hell weight loss teas being marketed by various celebs on Instagram and whatnot. Well, don't buy them. Go home and grab a lemon, some cucumber, maybe a sprig of mint or something. Throw them all in a big ass bottle filled with water, let that steep for a little bit and drink. Water naturally flushes out toxins from your body and promotes weight loss. No need to spend all your money on some teas.
5. You will save money!
This point was pretty much reiterated throughout the article but water will save you so much money. If you decide to take a week where you drink only water, you'll be surprised by how good you and your bank account will feel. No more expensive Venti's from Starbucks or Dunkin and in fact, if you still feel the need to just hold the cups from there, ask for a cup of water when you go in. They will happily oblige.
