I am so sick of hearing people say "I'm not voting this year" but sh*t on me when I say I'm voting for Trump. I am not a politician but this is so important. In middle school we all learned the importance of voting. Voting is a right we have the chance to exercise. Many governments around the world, to this day, don't let their citizens vote. We have a chance to make a difference in this world we live in. As citizens of the United States of America, it is our job.
1. Politician's won't address student needs without student votes.
They know who votes in each election and are more likely to focus on tuition costs and college education when college aged students votes!! If they don't see student votes they aren't going to address costs and aid for us!
2. Voting is your voice.
Who cares who your friends are voting for, vote for who you want! Whether or not it's Hillary or Trump or even someone from a third party.
3. Who knows where you will be 4 years from now.
The policies you vote on this year could benefit you in your life after college.
4. No one likes a hypocrite.
We are in college, we are all exploring who we are. Don't pass on empowering yourself when it comes to vote.
5. Many people fought for your right to vote.
No matter what race, religion, gender, or age, your right to vote came at a price. You should honor the sacrifices made so your voice can be heard since others can't. Also, people in other countries are still fighting for their rights to vote.
So please get to the polls on November 8th and vote!
