5 Reasons Why You Should Start To Play Golf

The game has been around for more than 400 years, and it isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Starting in Scotland, the game has evolved and is played all around the world. It is one of the best sports you can play. If you haven't played it seriously yet, then you can't argue against it. Here are the reasons why you should start to play golf.

1. It's a challenge. Golf is considered one of the hardest sports to learn. Being able to consistently hit the ball in an area you want it to go sometimes more than 250 yards away is way harder than it sounds. While it may be discouraging in the beginning, once you start to become more consistent, the game becomes that much more gratifying.

2. Enjoyable exercise. In golf, you are constantly standing, and can choose to walk the course. If you choose to walk, be ready for a workout! Carrying a bag full of clubs and balls more than 6500 yards, or 4 miles, is tough. But you are outside, enjoying the weather and the nature that surrounds the course, getting some good fresh air.

3. It builds life lessons. Golf teaches many virtues. It teaches you to be humble. Sometimes you have to take the safe shot instead of the aggressive one. It teaches you to be fully focused. It's impossible to take a good swing when your mind is moving in different directions. The best golfers are those that can clear the mind and focus on their one objective of hitting the ball where they want it to go. Lastly, it teaches you persistence. You will eventually have a bad shot, or multiple bad shots in a row. In order to do well, you must learn to forget your mistakes and keep attempting to make good shots.

4. It's a business leverage. Golf is the businessman's game. Therefore if you want to move up the business latter, it is in your best interest to learn the game of golf. When the CEO of the company invites employees to play golf, you are more than ready to do so and can start to build business connections. If you want to make more money, start playing golf!

5. Anyone can play. Golf may be the most democratic sport of all. The real opponent isn't another player, but rather it's the course. The playing field is the same for every player. The weather and the course is the same for everyone, and your success is dependent only on your abilities against the course and yourself. Whether you're short, tall, young or old, man or woman, the playing field is even and fair to everyone. So if you want to be better than everyone else, start practicing!

People will say golf is boring and stuff like that. But people who know and play the game know just how intriguing and enjoyable it is. If you haven't attempted it, I highly encourage you to do so. It's a game that you can play your entire life and will never get old. So get out there and go play!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
