For most of my life, I wondered how I would be at riding a quad. Finally after many years, I was able to ride one. It started about two years ago, when I learned to ride an automatic quad. I would ride it here and then because it was my cousins and they live almost two hours away. It was a utility one so it always had something attached to it.
My boyfriend grew up riding dirt-bikes, so he has a dirt-bike and a quad at his house. About a month and a half ago, he started teaching me how to ride the manual quad. It was scary at first, but really fun at the same time. It took me a while to get used to it, but I finally did it. I'm not a pro or even close but now I know the basics and I thank him for teaching me. I've come to love riding quads for these reasons:

2. It's a learning experience.
3. The feeling of the power as you shift through the gears.
