No matter the age, so many couples face the fact that they might have to be long distance for awhile. Whether you are in college or married, sometimes the situation comes about. Many say that you are just wasting your time by getting yourself into a long-distance relationship, but actually, there are so many things that make it worth it. Here is a list of reasons everyone should consider an LDR (Long-Distance Relationship) if you find yourself needing to.
1. They're worth it.

Obviously, you are dating your person for a reason. Chances are, they are everything to you, you would do anything for them and they are your best friend. Nothing, not even distance, can tear you two apart. Overall, the bond that you have with your partner is too important to give up just because you have to be apart for awhile.
2. It will make your relationship stronger.
Truly though, there are few things harder that a couple can go through other than distance. The constant wondering of where they are and who they are with when they aren't replying to your texts is the worst feeling ever — or the feeling of missing them and not being able to do anything about it. But they will always pull through and show you there is nothing to worry about. The trust formed through being apart strengthens your relationship more than anything ever could.
3. Tests your ability to make it through hardships.
Since an LDR is one of the hardest things you and your partner can go through, it really tests the legitimacy of your relationship. You have to be able to make it weeks without seeing each other, and long days without them there to help you unwind. Both of you are making new friends and arguments over the phone and through text are going to happen. And most people know those are never easy to resolve. If you can go through all of this with success, you can do anything.
4. You realize how lucky you actually are.
Being apart from your significant other for long periods of time really makes you realize how lucky and blessed you are to have them. The saying "absence makes the heart grow fonder" really proves itself to be true. Leaving little notes, small gifts and surprises for you both to find, are just a few things you can do to remind each other of the love you share.
5. You Learn To Cherish The Time You Have Together.
Since you can only see each other for short amounts of time, you really start to realize how much you have to make the most of your time spent together. Every moment becomes so special, and before this point in time, you've never noticed how important it all is. And through it all, your time together becomes so much more fun and exciting because you both realize how meaningful it is. Some of the best memories are created in the times you spend together when in an LDR.
