4 Reasons To Appreciate Musicians
Rolling Stone

Musicians are truly a special talent in our society. I have never met a person who does not listen to music on a daily basis or does not have a favorite band or artist. As a musician, I can truly say that the craft is addicting. You want a certain sound and you want to find the most efficient way to achieve it. Musicians are the reason why many people get over tragic events and as certain song can relate to anyones situations. With that being said, we have a lot to thank musicians for. Here's a few reasons we should appreciate them:

1. The Craftsmanship

Musicians are honestly crazy. Most of them are the pickiest people alive, but that is what makes their craft so great. Musicians do not settle for one thing, but they want to make their art as good as possible for their audience. That is how we recognize certain artists. We are able to recognize how a certain musician sounds because that is their craftsmanship.

2. The Will To Work

The amount of work musicians put in is insane. Nothing is perfect unless it is exactly the way they want it. Real musicians are some of the hardest working people in the world and they do it for their pride and to make us happy listeners.

3. The Looks

You cannot mention musicians without saying how attractive some of them are. If it was not enough that they sound great, a lot of them also look great as well and keep us coming back. Many celebrity crushes are musicians and I do not see that changing in the future.

4. Every Song Is A Memory

Maybe it is not a memory that we want to have, but these musicians create different memories for us. It could be where we first heard it, where we first saw it, or where we were when it was playing. When that certain song comes on, your mind will relive everything around that song and we have musicians to thank for that.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
