5 Places To Visit In Mexico

Mexico's beauty goes beyond the beach and the attractions you usually see. Here are some awesome locations you should consider for your next trip! Also, I'm just going to say that no matter where you go, Mexican food will never disappoint.

1. Michoacan.

About 60 million to a billion Monarch butterflies migrate to Michoacan from eastern Canada. I've been to Michoacan, and everything is covered by butterflies. Everything looks orange, and it's amazing having butterflies flying around you.Morelia, the capital of Michoacan, also offers a lot of great culturally-rich activities and places to visit.

2. Guanajuato, Guanajuato.

Guanajuato (city) is filled with it's history from when the Spanish conquered. The streets and buildings resemble much of the European structure, everything is very tight and the streets and buildings are very old. The city is very small and there is a lot of walking, but whenever you call a taxi or drive your car, you'll go under the city in the tunnels. Guanajuato offers an amazing museum with mummies of all ages and many tools of torture used in colonial Guanajuato.

3. Valle de Guadalupe in Ensenada, Baja California.

Are you a wine enthusiast? Ensenada has been growing the wine industry immensely. Many family-owned businesses are blooming, and many of the places offer concerts + wine + food to promote their business. If you're from SoCal, this is easily a weekend trip!

4. Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca.

Near Puerto Escondido you can find a bioluminescent lagoon in Maialtepec. Not only are there amazing bodies of water in Oaxaca, but there's also the most amazing indigenous culture. Try the local queso Oaxaca (Oaxacan cheese) for a very creamy, delicious string cheese. Go to local mercados (markets) to buy some amazing hand-crafted souvenirs.

5. Tulum, Yucatan Peninsula.

If you're interested in seeing historic ruins with an amazing sea view, Tulum is the place. On many trip decisions we've had to ask ourselves the question, "there's a beach, but what else?" Sure, it's always nice to relax, but it's also really nice to get to explore and get to know the history of where you're at. In Tulum, you get to be as adventurous and relaxed as you please. Oh! Don't forget to check out the Cenotes!

Do some research on the place that will fulfill your checklist on your interests for an amazing vacation. I'm sure there's a city in Mexico that'll meet all of your expectations and leave you wanting to come back.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
